A small business, building websites for small businesses.
Beacon Web Works is a web design company in Branford, Connecticut. We build clean, professional websites for contractors, local shops, and service businesses, and we handle everything so you don't have to.
Why I started Beacon Web Works
My name is Steve Potter, and I own Beacon Web Works in Branford, CT. I've been building and managing websites for about twelve years. That's Mr. Briggs next to me, my best buddy and a five-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever. Honestly, he's the real boss here.
I started Beacon Web Works because most small business owners I talked to had the same two bad options for a website: build it yourself and spend weekends fighting a template, or pay an agency thousands of dollars and wait months for something that doesn't bring in calls. Neither one makes sense for a plumber, a landscaper, or a local restaurant.
So I built the middle option. I build professional websites for you, answer the phone myself, and keep prices fair for small businesses. I also list prices right on the website, because you shouldn't have to book a call just to find out what something costs.
I live and work along the Connecticut shoreline, and most of my clients are nearby. I prefer meeting you at your shop instead of over video. You can show me what you do, I'll ask plenty of questions, and a few days later you'll see a home page design for your business. If you like it, we'll build the rest together. If not, you don't owe me anything.

How we work
A few things you can count on with every project.
You see it before you pay
Every project starts with a free homepage design. You look at it, you decide. No deposit, no obligation.
One price, posted publicly
$597 to build it, $89 a month to host, secure, and maintain it. That's on our pricing page for anyone to see.
We do the work, not you
Send a logo, a few photos, and some notes about your business. We write the words, build the pages, and launch the site. You never log into anything.
We stick around
Your monthly plan includes updates, security, and support. Need a phone number changed or a new photo added? Email or text us and it's done.
We come to you
Based in Branford, serving the Connecticut shoreline and beyond. Prefer to meet in person? We'll come to your business, on your schedule.
Built for how customers actually find you
Every site is mobile-friendly, set up for local search, and designed around one job: getting the visitor to call, book, or stop in.
Our guarantee
"I stand behind every website we build. Your site will be modern, mobile-friendly, and tailored to your business. If something isn't right, we'll work with you until it is. No excuses, no extra fees. Just a website you'll be proud to share."
